Overview

What we deliver

Groundworks is the part nobody sees — and the part everything else depends on. Excavation, levelling, drainage runs, sub-bases and site preparation done to the correct depths and falls, so whatever goes on top of it performs as it should.

01

Drainage planning

Standing water ruins lawns, lifts paving and rots timber. We plan drainage routes, falls and soakaways before any finishing work goes in.

02

Sub-base preparation

MOT type 1 graded and compacted in layers gives a stable, load-bearing base for patios, drives, walls and bases. We don't skimp on thickness or compaction.

03

Site management

Spoil removed, materials staged sensibly, neighbours kept informed. Tidy site, tidy job.

Common questions

FAQs

Do I need a soakaway?+

If there's nowhere for surface water to drain naturally, yes. We'll assess your site and spec one if needed.

How deep should a sub-base be?+

Typically 100–150mm for patios, 200mm+ for driveways or load-bearing areas. We dig and compact to the right depth for the job.

Can you handle service trenches?+

Yes — for power, water or drainage runs to garden rooms and outbuildings.
