Overview

What we deliver

A garden room base has to carry weight, resist movement and stay perfectly level — for the life of the building above it. We build reinforced, properly cured concrete bases dug to the right depth, squared and finished to the spec your structure requires.

Dug, formed and squared on site
Compacted MOT type 1 sub-base
DPM and steel reinforcement where specified
Power-floated or tamped finish
Built to garden room manufacturer specs

Why depth and reinforcement matter

An underspec'd base will move with ground conditions and cause the structure above to twist. We dig to a depth suited to the soil, install steel where the spec calls for it, and pour at the correct thickness.

Squared and level

Bases are formed, checked diagonally for square, and finished dead level. Garden room manufacturers won't warranty a poorly built base — we build to the spec sheet first time.

DPM and edges

Damp-proof membrane is installed correctly under every base. Edges are cleanly formed so the building sits square and weatherproof.

Common questions

FAQs

How thick does the base need to be?+

Typically 100–150mm of concrete over a 100–150mm sub-base, but always check your specific garden room's spec sheet.

How long before the building can sit on it?+

We recommend 7 days minimum cure time before loading, longer in cold weather.

Do you handle the building too?+

We focus on getting the base perfect — your supplier or installer handles the structure on top.
